Papa's shoal

Papa reef is in front of namesake tip of Tavolara island. It’ s a limestone pinnacle complex which is the underwater continuation of the island. The top of the reef is always inhabited by a thick cloud of Anthias and often at the beginning of the descent it’ s possible to observe large Centrolophus swimming on the bottom. Moreover it’s possible to see yellow and red big seafan (Paramuricea clavata) and, after the second pinnacle you can admire the dark shape of many large groupers. Middle difficulty.
